Hey Animfxers! That’s right, AnimfxNZ 2014, the animation, games and visual effects conference is back to our usual November slot and the first speakers have been announced! From November 21-22 we'll be bringing together some of the biggest and brightest names in the global digital entertainment industry for two days of learning, sharing and networking.

Dean DeBlois is a Canadian writer, director and producer best known for co-writing and directing Disney’s Lilo & Stitch and Dreamworks’ How to Train Your Dragon. This year Dean released the highly anticipated How to Train Your Dragon 2, becoming the highest-grossing animated film of the year.

Fabian has a long history in animation. He has been with Academy-Award-nominated studio Cartoon Saloon for 14 years, worked on projects for MTV, Vodafone and illustrated for Random House Publishing. His latest project includes working as 1st Assistant Director of Animation on the upcoming feature film Song Of The Sea.

Michael has extensive experience in educational animation as executive producer for Emmy nominated Yo Gabba Gabba (Nickelodeon) and Kermit's Swamp Years (The Jim Henson Company).
Managing Director and Co-founder of Sidhe and PikPok
Mario is the co-founder and Managing Director of New Zealand’s largest game development studio and digital publisher across mobile, tablet, and desktop. Known around Wellington as the Godfather of video game development, Mario has spent the last 17 years overseeing the creation of a console, smartphone and tablet games including GripShift, Jackass the game and Into the Dead.
